Every note you hear is synthesized on your device in real time. There are no audio files being streamed. StillTune works out the composition (which notes, in what order) on our servers and sends your device the plan; your device performs it. Each mode has its own "Sound DNA" of drones, pads, bells, and nature textures that you can fine-tune in the Mixer and Tune panels.
Yes, once a mode has loaded. There are no audio files to download. StillTune stores the score (the notes and their timing, a few megabytes) and your phone plays it from there, so you can switch to Airplane Mode at bedtime and keep listening for hours. A mode you have never played while online has nothing stored yet, so play it once with a connection first.
Yes. StillTune supports background audio and lock-screen controls, so playback continues when your phone is locked or you switch apps. The Sleep Timer can fade the sound out automatically.
No. The full sound experience works with no account. You only need to sign in if you want to save Sound DNA presets or share them with the community.
Yes. The App is free to use and supported by ads. StillTune Pro is an optional subscription (monthly or annual) or one-time lifetime purchase that removes ads and unlocks additional soundscapes. Pricing and terms are shown in the app before you buy.
Make sure the App is updated to the latest version, then fully close and reopen it. Audio can pause when another app takes over sound (a call, another player); just press play again. If the problem persists, email us with your device model and iOS version.
